Chad has an extremely diverse educational and professional background that has taken him from his birthplace in California to all over the U.S., Mexico, and as far as Brazil. He wanted to learn Spanish in high school and that desire has led to extensive travel and lengthy stays in Mexico. He literally uses Spanish every single day of his life and has developed unique techniques for learning languages. He learned to speak Portuguese without even attending a single class. As an actor, Chad has had numerous small roles in movies and commercials in Mexico too. He accredits reading screenplays in Spanish as being very helpful to learn the language. In recent years, Chad has become semi-famous as a YouTuber. His "survival" themed channel currently has over 2 million subscribers, many of whom he communicates with in Spanish and Portuguese in the comments section of his videos.
